The Chinese new year actually started January 23rd, but San Francisco Chinatown festivities were this weekend.

This is the best dim sum spot in SF Chinatown. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, but it transforms when you walk in, and non-Chinese don't know about it! I won't even tell you it's name!!

I went to Chicago to visit my sister and hoped to see snow, alas it was a "warm" weekend.

We stayed at the Hard Rock Chicago. Their website showcased a Beatles themed bathroom and I was disappointed to see Bono in ours.


I finally saw THE BEAN. This European wedding party did a guerilla photoshoot. It was maybe 40 degrees, those bridesmaids were shivering.

My flight arrived at 8pm, and Mona's flight was delayed and arrived at 11pm. This is the body she saw when she arrived.

Mona blended right in with the servers of the restaurant.

Big sista got a new curling wand, so as the little sista I became the test dummie.

Matt Skiba did a solo show at Slim's. It was my first show in SF, and Slim's is a great venue. Matt Skiba is a dreamboat.

Michele's friend made coleslaw for a dinner party, and everybody was amazed by the size of this bowl.

Afterwards we hit up the Sutro Baths. This was a privately owned swimming pool complex in the early 1900s. I took better pics on my digital camera, but I left my USB cord in Florida..so those pics will come at the end of the month, STOP CRYING.

Joy brought apples and peanut butter as a snack. Why haven't I eaten this before? SMART AND DELICIOUS

I moved to California because I heard there is gold out here. Everyone has been so welcoming, it's really amazing.

IT WAS SO GOOD I WENT HOME AND YELPED ABOUT IT RIGHT AWAY. I never do that..but I had to tell someone...their name is Yelp. The grilled mahi fish taco was on point tho. I felt like I was back in LA eating from a taco truck.

My date engulfed in the hockey game. She loves chocolate milk shakes.

We went to Target to get milk and creamer, but the shoes were on sale so....

My mom kept saying "take some carambola for Kiersten" and I'm like "WHAT IS CARAMBOLA" which is just the real name for starfruit.

No jamaican fruit for puppies! Sorry Hank!


Kiersten bought the Kardashian OPI - "Rainbow in the S-Kylie" and it instantly makes any nail a party nail.

Lola is a rat dog. The only chihuahua I will love.



So back at my old job we used to have leftover birthday cake all the time. One time I smushed a piece and it is seriously the greatest feeling between your fingers. WARNING: You need Dawn near by to wash off the grease from all frostings. ANYHOO, The cheesecake factory gives you way too much whip cream with your cheesecake. Even though I was with my parents, I went and smushed it. and then told my dad YOU GOTTA SMUSH IT.
